Customer expectations are now the focus of every company. Today, creating innovative, high quality products in advance of your competitors is crucial in satisfying your customers and retaining their loyalty, so they continue to buy from you in the future. In particular, managing high quality and durable products is critical for all businesses. In fact, high quality products help to maintain customer satisfaction and reduce the risk and cost of replacing faulty goods. Companies can build a reputation for quality by gaining accreditation with a recognized quality standard, such as ISO 9001, published by the International Standards Organization. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) - the numerical simulation of fluid flow - is able to offer you really important design support, preventing avoidable quality problems, respecting the time schedule, reducing the price of components and the cost of making prototypes.

This case study shows how a feasible solution on the R607 Ariston boiler to losing temperature at the external wall, has been designed. Several experimental tests have been measured where a really high temperature on the external wall of the R607 boiler had caused really strong deformation and consequently high stress level. Through our approach, based on a series of CFD simulations, all parameters and variables responsible for this problem in the Boiler have been found. Thanks to this strategy a feasible solution has been designed which is a good compromise between the quality issue, design, testing time and cost reduction. In addition the following approach provides a general methodology for supporting the design concept and making high quality products.
