In FE analysis the balls in a ballscrew can be modeled as bonded contacts or as spring elements. In the second case each spring element has to be modeled. Instead of inserting them manually, thanks to EnginSoft, a procedure has been created to generate them automatically. The aim of this work is to present two case of study: the first is related to the structural analyses performed to optimize the load distribution on the balls of the ballscrew; the second is the comparison of dynamic analyses results, between the two different approaches to model the balls of the ballscrew.
